The Consortium for Social Enterprise Effectiveness (CSEE) program is a year-long certificate program that strengthens social mission organizations and those who lead them. CSEE is offered through the Anderson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, located in the Haslam College of Business. The CSEE program is a two pronged approach to develop leaders of social mission organizations in becoming stronger managers of their organizations and to foster organizational strategy building skills that include preparing an organizational assessment, strategy and action plan that will take your organization to the next service level.
The personal leadership development piece of the program involves an in-depth leadership assessment to help identify personal strengths and weaknesses. From this assessment, a year long plan is devised to sharpen those strengths and address opportunities for improvement. Each participant is assigned a faculty coach that facilitates the plan development and execution. Classroom sessions on leadership concepts and tools augment the personal development plans.
The development of an organizational investment-ready strategy is tailored for each participant's organization. An in - depth analysis is conducted to assess the organization's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats along with judging key competencies and opportunities for growing your organization's effectiveness and reach. Evaluating the organization at this very precise level allows for setting organizational staffing, metric and evaluation levels that are crucial to advancing your mission. This profound and deep analysis is finally captured in an "investment-ready" strategy presentation sure to inform and impress your board and result in a call to action.
This course is designed for executive directors and other senior leaders in organizations focused on social missions. This includes nonprofit services, nongovernment organizations and other institutions with a primarily social mission.
